To start, open our bot in Telegram, tap Play and pick a game. The questions below explain each step in more detail, and the about page tells you more about the club.

What is gambit.poker?
gambit.poker is a card and board game club that runs inside Telegram. You play with other people at tables, using free play chips, and every game has its rules one tap away.
Is gambit.poker free to play?
Yes, you can play free in Telegram with play chips. These pages describe free play only.
Do the chips have cash value?
No, play chips have no cash value. They exist only to play the games with.
How do I start playing in Telegram?
Open our bot in Telegram, tap Play, then choose a game and a table. Then take a seat and play.
Which devices and platforms can I use?
You can play wherever Telegram runs: on a phone, a tablet or a computer. There is no separate app to download, because the club opens inside Telegram.
Which games can I play?
The flagships are poker (Texas Hold'em and Five-card draw), chess, durak in the throw-in and transferable versions and backgammon, long and short. We also run Bura, Russian checkers and dominoes.
Which languages does gambit.poker support?
The app itself is in Russian and English at the moment. These website pages exist in more languages, and you can change the language with the language switcher on the page.
Do I need to register?
You do not fill in a registration form. When you open the club from Telegram, the app signs you in with your Telegram account.
What is the minimum age to play?
You must be 18 or older to play at gambit.poker. We also have a page about responsible gaming with the limits and breaks that you can set.
Can I play with friends?
Yes, you can invite friends you have added in the app to a table. The guide how to play with friends in Telegram shows the steps.
Are the cards shuffled fairly?
Yes, the server shuffles the deck with a cryptographically secure random generator (a Fisher-Yates shuffle), so nobody can predict the order of the cards. Dice in backgammon are rolled the same way.
Where can I find the rules in the app?
Every table has a Rules button, so you can read how the game works without leaving it. The same rules are explained in more detail on our games page.
