iPhone and iPad: add the web app to your Home Screen
Apple does not let people install apps from a website. On an iPhone or iPad an app has to come through the App Store, and we do not offer one there. That is why we give you a web app: it is the same game, opened from an icon on your Home Screen.
- Open the site in SafariGo to gambit.poker in Safari. Other browsers can add pages to the Home Screen too, but Safari is the one that works every time.
- Tap ShareTap the Share button, the square with an arrow pointing up. On iPhone it is at the bottom of the screen, on iPad at the top.
- Choose Add to Home ScreenScroll the list until you see Add to Home Screen. If it is missing, scroll to the bottom and tap Edit Actions to add it.
- Tap AddKeep the name gambit.poker or change it, then tap Add in the top right corner.
- Open it from the Home ScreenUse the new icon. The game opens full screen and keeps you signed in.
Always start the game from the icon. A page opened in a Safari tab is a separate session and may ask you to sign in again.
Android: install the app file
The app file is a normal Android package (APK) that we host on this site. Phones only open files from outside the Play Store after you allow it once, which is why the steps below include a settings change.
Download it only from gambit.poker. If a message or another site offers you the file, do not use it.
Verify the file

Install steps
- Download the fileTap the button above in Chrome or another browser on your phone. If the browser warns that this type of file can be harmful, choose to keep it.
- Check itCompare the file with the checksum as described in the next section. This takes a minute and is worth doing once.
- Open the fileTap the finished download in the browser, or open the Downloads app and tap gambit.apk.
- Allow the installation if askedAndroid will say that your browser is not allowed to install apps. Tap Settings in that message and follow the steps in the next list.
- Tap InstallGo back to the file and tap Install. If Google Play Protect shows a notice about an app it has not seen before, open More details and choose Install anyway, but only if you checked the file.
- Open the app and sign inTap Open and use the Telegram sign-in button. You will land in the same account you use in Telegram.
Allow installation from unknown sources (Android 8 and newer)
You only need this step if Android blocks the installation.
Since Android 8 this permission is given per app, not for the whole phone. You give it to the browser you used for the download, and you can take it back afterwards.
- Open the permission screenTap Settings in the warning message. If it does not appear, open the phone Settings, then Apps, then Special app access, then Install unknown apps. Names differ a little between phone makers.
- Pick your browserChoose the browser or the Files app that you used to open gambit.apk, for example Chrome.
- Switch on Allow from this sourceTurn on the switch, then press Back and tap Install.
- Switch it off againWhen the app is installed, return to the same screen and turn the permission off. The installed app keeps working.
On Android 7 and older there is no per-app permission. Open Settings, then Security, and switch on Unknown sources. Switch it off after the install.
How to check that the file is genuine
Every file has a fingerprint called a SHA-256 checksum, a string of 64 letters and digits. If even one byte of the file changes, the fingerprint changes completely. When we publish a release, its checksum is shown under the download button on this page. Compare it with the one you calculate yourself.
- On WindowsOpen Command Prompt in the folder with the file and run certutil -hashfile gambit.apk SHA256.
- On Mac or LinuxOpen Terminal in the folder with the file and run shasum -a 256 gambit.apk.
- On the phoneInstall any free hash checker from the Play Store, open gambit.apk in it and choose SHA-256.
- CompareThe result must match the checksum on this page, character for character. If it does not, delete the file and download it again from this page.
If the checksum line is missing under the download button, the file is not published yet. Do not install a file from anywhere else in the meantime.
Android without the file: Add to Home screen
If you would rather not change any settings, install the web version. It looks and plays like the app and updates itself.
- Open the site in ChromeGo to gambit.poker in Chrome on your phone.
- Open the menuTap the three dots in the top right corner.
- Choose Install appTap Install app, or Add to Home screen if you do not see it, and confirm.
- Start from the iconOpen gambit.poker from the new icon on your home screen. It starts full screen, without the address bar.
Computer: install from Chrome or Edge
On Windows, Mac and Linux the site installs as its own window, with an icon in your apps list or on the desktop.
- Open the siteGo to gambit.poker in Chrome or Edge.
- Find the install iconLook at the right end of the address bar for a small icon of a screen with a down arrow, or for the word Install.
- Click InstallClick the icon, then click Install in the small window that opens. If you see no icon, open the browser menu and look for Install gambit.poker or Save and share, then Install page as app.
- Launch itThe game opens in its own window. Next time, start it from the Start menu, Launchpad or the desktop icon.
Firefox does not install web apps on desktop. Use it as a normal browser tab, or pick Chrome or Edge for the installed version.
Which option is right for you
You can play gambit.poker in three ways: inside Telegram, in a normal browser, or as an app on your home screen. All three use the same account, so your play chips and your level are the same everywhere.

One account everywhere
Outside Telegram you sign in with the Telegram button on the start screen. It recognises the same account as the Mini App, so your play chips, level and game history are there on every device. Chips are for play only and have no cash value.

Frequently asked questions
Is the Android file safe to install?
It is safe if you downloaded it from gambit.poker and its SHA-256 checksum matches the one on this page. Only install files you got from us, and never from a link in a message from a stranger.
Why is the app not on Google Play?
It is not on Google Play at the moment: we publish the Android file only on gambit.poker. To be sure the file is genuine, compare its SHA-256 checksum with the one on this page.
Can I install the APK on an iPhone?
No, iPhone and iPad cannot install APK files, which are an Android format. On iPhone, add our web app to the Home Screen from Safari instead: it takes a minute.
Why is there no gambit.poker app in the App Store?
There is none at the moment, and Apple does not allow installing apps from websites. On iPhone and iPad you add our web app to the Home Screen from Safari, which gives you the same game.
Do I need to install anything to play?
No. You can play inside Telegram or in any modern browser. Installing only adds an icon and a full-screen window.
Will I keep my chips and level if I switch devices?
Yes. Every device signs in with the same Telegram account, so your progress follows you.
How do I update the installed web app?
It updates itself when you open it with an internet connection. For the Android file, download the new version from this page and install it over the old one.
